Hair accessories advice

Written by Becky, Luna & Wild

The inspiration for this styled shoot was relaxed boho luxe and the purpose, to shoot the latest hair accessories collection for Luna and Wild.

Luna and Wild boost a bohemian collection of floral hair accessories for free spirited brides. Becky from Luna and wild chose an industrial old mill with lots of natural light as the venue and hand picked some of the finest Northwest suppliers to help create her vision.

A little hair accessories advise from me -

I create a range of hair accessories for brides, bridesmaids and wedding guests which can be worn and styled in numerous ways. My advise to brides planning their hair accessories is always chat to the designer beforehand and talk them through the look you are trying to achieve. I often get asked how many hair pins should I buy? It can depend on your chosen hair style and hair length but as a general rule I always advise that odd numbers work best. If you have shorter hair that you're putting into a small up do I would suggest x3 hair pins, for brides with longer hair and looking to create a more dramatic effect I would suggest between 5-7 pins. I sell all my hair pins individually to allow brides the freedom to pick as many pins as they like to create their desired look.

Another question I often get asked is Im wearing a veil does that mean I cant wear one of your accessories? You can totally still wear accessories alongside your veil. All my hair combs sit on strong metal bridal hair comb base that can simply slide into your hair over the top of the veil. Flower crowns also work really well with veils. A lot of my crowns have a ribbon tie back which can be tied and hidden underneath your veil. Demonstrated in this shoot with the stunning floral embroidered veil by Sash and veil.
