Moody medieval winter wedding inspiration

If you're looking for an alternative to the traditional good bye to single life, why not incorporate your beliefs with a pagan-inspired hen party? This type of party can be a great way to celebrate your impending nuptials in a unique and meaningful way. Ash from The Nagundo Tree wanted to showcase a celebration of love influenced by pagan origins at the time of Hallow's Eve, or Samhain. "I wanted to create a scene of jubilation and femininity while paying tribute to the 31st October's seasonal shift of harvest to darkness."

1. Choose a Theme
The first step in planning any party is to choose a theme. For a pagan-inspired hen party, you might want to consider a nature-themed or goddess-themed party. This will help set the tone for the event and give you some direction as you start planning.

2. Send Invitations
Once you have a theme in mind, it's time to start working on the invitations. You'll want to be sure to include all of the important details about the event, such as the date, time, and location. You might also want to include information about what guests should wear or bring with them.

3. Decorate the Space
Now it's time to start thinking about decorating the space where the party will be held. If you're having the party outdoors, you might want to decorate with natural elements like flowers and leaves. If you're having the party indoors, you can still incorporate nature-themed decorations or even go for a more ethereal look with candles and fairy lights.

4. Prepare Food and Drinks
No party is complete without food and drinks! For your pagan-inspired hen party, you might want to prepare finger foods that can be easily eaten without utensils. And don't forget the drinks! You might want to serve punch or sangria made with natural ingredients like fruit juice and herbs.

5. Plan Activities
Last but not least, you'll need to plan some activities for your guests to enjoy during the party. Depending on your theme, you might want to consider activities like tarot card readings, energy healing, or even creating vision boards for the future.

Ash gathered the final offerings from Chiltern Sky Flower's wonderful flower farm and began enhancing the blooms inspired by the approaching season of death. Incorporating Dahlia's dipped in wax reminded me of encasing life for the hibernation season and also allowed the May Day inspired floral farlands to become something slightly more ominous. The Hen's pranced with their garlands and ribbons, evoking the joyous feeling of a Hen Party. The garlands are also used to connect our Hen's to one another, as if nature was grounding the group before allowing the bride to break free into love - a favourite shot of the team.

Headdresess are a traditional accessory of pagan celebrations and are also one of the pieces that Ash loves to create. "With this I decided to create an individual design for each lady and also our shire horse, Ben".
