Does the thought of a disco make you cringe?đ§ First dance filling you with dread? 𤯠⢠You both want something everyone can do and wonât feel awkward, like a disco. ⢠Your guests range in age and abilities; we want the evening to be a hit with all of them. ⢠You deserve a lively atmosphere which is tailored to your guests and will engage with them allđś This is why you need a ceilidh for your wedding entertainment. It's pronounced Kay-Lea btwđ Ideal for breaking the ice between your two families, many of whom will have never met each other. Evening guests, your friends and even work colleagues will be straight in. I've stolen this description of a ceilidh from Caroline Goosey who has captured a wedding Ceilidh I hosted down on a small barn in the Peak District back in October 2022. A ceilidh is probably the most inclusive dancefloor you could haveđ It doesnât matter how many of them youâve done before, or if youâve done none at all. The person calling the dances tells everyone what they need to do, and keeps it going. Everyone dances with everyone, whether you know each other or not. The more people the better! Everyone gets a go. No one has the chance to bust different moves, and because no one *really* knows whatâs going on𤣠itâs very difficult to feel self-conscious. Essentially, most people are just guessing what theyâre supposed to be doing, and that makes it brilliant.

Schuggie and the band played for the evening reception of our wedding. They were absolutely amazing at getting everyone involved with the perfect mix of fun yet classy. They tailored the evening to our timings and preferences and kept us well informed in the run up to the day. We had so many compliments on the ceilidh and reports of people loving it. Theyre a great group- so friendly and professional-Thank you for making our wedding reception so fun! Ben and Laura.

We had a Ceilidh for our wedding entertainment and it went down a treat. All the guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the dancefloor was never empty! Schuggie did a great job calling the Ceilidh, he was fun and got everyone engaged in the celebration. We have had a lot of great feedback from our guests and we would definitely recommend this for a great night.
